Quality Control

Another essential element in the production process is quality control. Fully aware of its importance, Prewett conducts continuous quality assessments in every department, from yarn to finished product. We have recently updated our lab, which enables us to perform various tests to include:

• A laundry test to check the effects of several washing and drying cycles
• A McBride light that allows us to test colors under many different light conditions -testing equipment that checks the strength of different novelty items that we apply to some of our children's socks
• Tests are performed which check the yarn count for weight and size
• crocking tests are performed to check the quality of the dying process
• Various sizing test All of our products are made of cotton with a blend of either nylon or polyester.
